And Just Like That...

It's happening. We are moving our family 2000 miles across the country to live on a cattle ranch where Luke will cowboy for a living and we'll be a day's drive away from grandparents and cousins!

And, we're leaving in less than a month.

We'll be living in a small cabin which is furnished with beds, couch, chair, fridge and soon, a washer and dryer. But no stove or oven (we're working on that one). The view is amazing and apparently, our house is also situated at the foot of a double rainbow! We'll see when we get there if we can find the pot of gold...

Our new home looks like a post card.

Calving is already in full swing, which is why they need us as soon as possible. Luke will also be working on getting the irrigation system ready to water the summer pastures for the cows and calves. In June it will be branding time.

My living room looks like a tornado came through. This morning we told our church family that we will be leaving. We are already tired from the packing and excitement and have a crazy list of things that need to be done in the next 29 days before we leave. Things are gettin' a little western.

But, we get to live HERE!

We expect visitors!

WE WILL COME TO SEE YOU!!!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!

We were just talking about this! I can't believe it! I'm thrilled for you guys but will be sad to say goodbye. Everytime I see Clara, she'll have grown a mile! I can't wait to help in any way in the upcoming weeks. What a grand opportunity and hey, you can make a campfire to cook!

Yay!!! We will be so excited to have both of you! I'm not sure how much room we have for visitors, as our cabin is quite small, but we'll figure something out!

Jess, I am really shocked at how fast it went as well! It was just two months ago that I told Luke I was finally ready to actually move out west and he started seriously looking (though he's kept his eye out for years, of course!). And it's crazy to think that we'll be leaving here in less than a month!!! But we have seen God's hand at work in so many ways and are so excited about the opportunity!

I'm so excited for you guys, Erin! What an adventure! As someone who has moved across the country myself, I know all that's involved. Praying for you guys as you take this step. Looking forward to following you guys through this next chapter in your lives.
Love,
Jen Unsell

so excited to have you in our neck of the woods- selfishly, yes, but also because luke gets to follow his heart!
